Chronology of cameras Mamiya

Among the range of MAMIYA 35 models, the "II", which is the second product, is immediately differentiated from the other two models by its two large knurled knobs.
It is simply engraved MAMIYA 35.
This series (1947-1958) has given birth to three 35 mm rangefinder remarkable and yet quite unknown. Few amateurs are aware of these models.

Full frame viewfinder 45 mm, clear, with beautiful and very clear image round and dew,
Cocking by means of a big wheel with integrated mechanical counter,
rewind knob with a big reminder of the film and the film sensitivity used,
Lens: SETAGAYA KÔKI SEKOR –S- 1 : 3,5-22 / 4,5cm. A 2.8 came out in 1956 and replaced this 3.5. This unit can be dated to 1955. Focusing by ring with lever.
SEIKOSHA-MX shutter from 1 second to 1/500. Flash Sync M + B + X. Note that I have rarely met a shutter, even central, so silent and smooth. Great art.
Accessory Shoe - engraved "EP" for this item.

At the grip, we immediately have to deal with a high quality camera: heavy weight (655 grams), good grip, very beautiful chrome plating and generously dimensioned moving parts.

Except for its fixed lens, this superb device is in the hall of fame of the 35mm rangefinders.

I have never tested this unit.
